The Hare with the Moon has been associated in the past with ideas that Witches changed into Hares at the full Moon.
The Hares, sadly, were often persecuted alongside the Witches!

This Parrot was a much loved bird at Coton Manor Gardens, where people loved to talk to him.
Sadly he died a few years ago.
